Cryptocurrency Fund Flows Decline as Bitcoin Price Trades Sideways
Cryptocurrency fund inflows declined by roughly 58% to $99 million last week. Lower investor appetite for digital asset funds could reflect uncertainty over bitcoin’s price, which recently has traded in a range between $53,000 and $61,000.
“Since the February price highs and heightened volatility, we have seen a steady decline in appetite amongst investors,” according to a report by CoinShares, a digital asset management firm.
- “We have also seen a decline in bitcoin investment product trading volumes to $713 million per day last week, versus $1.1 billion per day for 2021,” wrote CoinShares.
- Fund flow data also shows a regional divide. Inflows are slowing in the U.S., while Europe and Canada have sustained investor appetite.
- Bitcoin (BTC) products received a majority of inflows last week, while ethereum (ETH) and polkadot (DOT) lagged behind.

Coinbase, Naval, Framework Ventures Back $19M Raise for a Capital-Efficient Stablecoin
Fei Labs, a project building a more capital-efficient decentralized stablecoin, raised $19 million from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Framework Ventures, Coinbase Ventures and AngelList founder Naval Ravikant, among others. The raise, disclosed Monday, is another sign competition is heating up among issuers of stablecoins. These cryptocurrencies are designed to hold their value against some mainstream asset, usually (as in Fei’s case) the U.S. dollar. Stablecoins play a linchpin role in the crypto ecosystem, allowing traders to quickly move fiat currency (or the next best thing) between global exchanges to take advantage of…

NFL Player Taylor Rapp Is Launching an NFT to Fight Anti-Asian Hate
A young defensive back with the Los Angeles Rams is the latest pro athlete launching a non-fungible token (NFT), hoping to use the sale to raise money, and awareness, to combat the wave of anti-Asian hate crimes this year. Taylor Rapp, the free safety entering his third season in the National Football League, completely lacks the star power of a Rob Gronkowski or a Patrick Mahomes, marquee players who leveraged their splashy brands into multimillion-dollar NFT sales earlier this month. But the backfield starter, who said he’s been hustling with his co-creators for…

Fintoch Education: Crypto Custody
Fintoch is an innovative blockchain financial platform built by Morgan DF Fintoch. In the very beginning, the positioning of Fintoch is set to be something big – an ecosystem that connects lenders, borrowers, traders, and investors alike. A lively financial ecosystem is only viable if the underlying security for user funds is solid. Remember in Crypto, we don’t trust but verify. With that said, Fintoch focused on the development of its core technology HyBriid 2.0, which combines “zero-knowledge proof” and “multiple signatures” to protect users’ funds. For users who are…

Those shares are now worth a small fortune, on the order of nine figures, the sources…
